https://www.facewest.co.uk/Compass-Zone ... ation.html..

This zonal thing cost me E60 couple of years ago.
One of my sons was representing Ireland at Junior World Orienteering in Australia.

Son: Hey dad, I need a compass that will work in Oz.
Dad: Wha??????
Son: Irish ones won't work.
Dad: You're joking
Son: My coach says..........
Dad: How much?
Son: 60 Euro
Dad: Let me research this and I'll get back to you...........

Cost me 60 Euro.

One month later when he returned (did very well)

Dad: Can I have a look at this famous compass?
Son: I don't have it
Dad: Where is it?
Son: In Australia
Dad: How come? Did you lose it?
Son: No, I swopped it with an Australian for a Tee-shirt.
Dad: can I see the t-shirt that cost me 60 euros ??
Son: I lost it...............................................................
