Let’s be very clear here, ISKA would very much prefer to be affiliated to CI. Among other things, the committee would only be too delighted to be in a position to obtain discounted insurance rates for any member wishing to avail of it.

Any member who isn't a member of a CI affiliated club and doesn't want to spend €50 to join CI as an individual, CANI (Canoe Association of Northern Ireland) recreational membership is available for £18 (€20.56 at current exchange rates) which gives personal public liability cover up to £10,000,000....

ISKA has been affiliated to Canoeing Ireland for several years, leaving it free to members to choose whether or not to sign up for insurance. ISKA membership does not cover this. It looks like a similar set up to the Ocean to City race, wherein even CI membership doesn't cover it. Hope this helps
