Re: Tents

Hi Alan Essential in buying a tent, especially for this climate, is that you can put the outer part up first. Also make sure there is not too much mesh on the inner that you cannot close off as can be too cold for our weather. I have a Macpac tent. Its their 2 person version called Stellar but may n...

Re: Gelcoat repair, White Gelcoat, not white.... suggestions

Hi Ivan Apologies... I never thought to open the link in your post. I'll get a photo of the repairs I did to see how they compare. Des Keaney of Deep Blue Sea Kayaking does excellent repairs. He fixed a few major cracks on my sea kayak,I couldn't even find the repairs, matches in so well. He uses ge...

Re: Gelcoat repair, White Gelcoat, not white.... suggestions

Hi Ivan I have used the gel coat in a tube by Plastic Padding'. Here's a link on amazon to see the packet but I got somewhere in Ireland but can't remember where. Pure white, matches perfectly with white hull of Nigel Denis Explorer. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gelcoat-Filler-Plastic-Padding-165gm/dp/B0...

Re: ISKA Meet 9th/10th August - Donegal

Unfortunately, with the unpredictable wind and ever changing forecast, the Donegal meet is postponed . There could be a weather window on both days of the weekend but its not worth chancing travelling to Donegal for a short spell on the water. Hopefully, we'll get to do some of the proposed trips be...

Re: ISKA Meet 9th/10th August - Donegal

Been weather watching closely over the last few days and it is very changeable with regard to wind strength. So will have another look this evening to see if it is a possible runner but Fridays report will also need consideration. No point in travelling all the way here if those winds come in early....

YR weather seem to think it'll be okay but windguru and magicseaweed are painting a very poor picture.
Will keep you updated.

POSTPONED - ISKA Meet 9th/10th August - Donegal

North West ISKA Meet The final decision on where to go will be made on Thursday 7th Aug after a good look at the weather forecast for the weekend. A possible plan is a trip to Fanad Head and back on Saturday and maybe Inishbofin, Inishdooey and Inishbeg on Sunday or visit one of the islands off the...
