Recording is available here.Hi,
My name is Marie and I work on the Corncrake Conservation Project, which is operated by the National Parks and Wildlife Service. I was talking to one of your members recently and she suggested I contact you to ask if your members would report any Corncrakes they hear on offshore islands during the breeding season?
Corncrakes are generally in the areas of Mayo, Galway and Donegal, and call from mid-April to mid-July. They are a species of high conservation concern, and while we survey the islands, reports are much appreciated and helpful.
I have attached a recording of a calling Corncrake, and if you are willing to ask your members to report them, the contact details would be Marie Duffy 087 6563 527 / firstname.lastname@example.org.
