I was just reading Oileain.org about Coney Island and the punjab monument
The monument is slightly squways. Local lore has it that in 2004 when President Bushe of the U.S.A. visited Ireland, there was a massive security operation around Shannon Airport, about 4km away. Irish soldiers making security checks interfered with it, in case it was hollow or the like, but didn’t do a good job putting it back together. Pity.
Guess this'll need to be updated in the next edition.

Monument is hollow and was more or less directly beneath the flight path of Air Force 1, if I'm not mistaken. Possibly left askew intentionally as easier to spot later interference!! Soldiers are clever operarors, make no mistake. So few soldiers so many islands to check. The things we don't 'know...... Sennen ( not a soldier).
