Just heard he has crossed Donegal Bay unharmed and uninjured. Full of confidence. Putting in big performances. Hopes to finish in about a fortnight. I suggested a group might meet him in Howth to finish in Dunlaoire, for the crack. Anyone interested let ne know.

Hi Dave, Yes I would be interested in being there to welcome Rob. If you have further details closer to the time re time and RV I will repost on ECSKC website and muster the troops there to hail the hero.

Rob is crossing Belfast Lough about now and hopes to be a guest of Ricky Fulton this evening.
Best guess for Dublin is Monday / Tuesday, but anything can happen.
Strange sight this morning was a kayak and a tent a mile south of where rob spent last night near Ballygally.
Ricky saw him last evening but he was already closed up inside his tent, as he (she ?) was this morning 0630. Ricky texted me that its another round Irelander. Does anyone know ?
By the way, most of those who paddle round Ireland are distinctly not round when they finish, never mind what shape they were when they started so maybe we should come up with a different expression ?
I will keep in touch with Rob and when I know better about his ETA sure I can put a post on the BB. Does that suit ? I won't be around (nearly said "round") as I am off on the holliers tomorrow.

PS Which reminds me ....... What does a football do when it finally stops rolling after you kick it down a hill ?

that mystery round-Irelander was probably the guy we met earlier this month off Ballyconeely. Fred got his name, I've forgotten it. From Kilkenny, paddling a red plastic vessel is all my feeble mind recalls.

He left Skerries at 1940 this evening, well ahead of where I thought he was at ........
I am on the west coast and I don't have a map but that is finishing tonight (unlikely ?) or tomorrow morning, more likely surely the morning.
Overnight Ireland's Eye ?

Chancer wants in as well if you have his details.
Thanks everyone. I am very proud of this lad.
