Course summary:
The BCU 3 Star Award measures a standard of performance for improving paddlers. On completion of the 3 Star a paddler can consider themselves as an intermediate paddler competent to be an active member of a group led down a section of river or on open water.
The 3 Star is often used as a bench mark of competence when joining a commercial expedition or for joining an extended club trip. The 3 Star is also a prerequisite to be attending your Level 2 Coach Training. For full details of the award syllabus, candidates should visit the BCU website - www.bcu.org.uk.
Who is the course for?
This programme is aimed at those wishing to develop the necessary skills to journey in a moderate environment – under leadership
The 3 Star is also a prerequisite for those wishing to go and attain their level 2 Coach or their 4 Star Leader.
What does my course fee include?
The course fee includes kit and equipment in course transport coaching, food and accommodation.
