Course Dates:
• Friday, 21st to Sunday, 23rd November 2014

Cost: £187

Course pre-requisites:
• Recognised first aid award, minimum of eight hours including CPR
• Evidence of attending 4 Star Leader Training
• Evidence of having attended a white water safety and rescue training

Previous experience:
Provide documented evidence of a minimum of 12 logged trips each a minimum of 4 hours. The experience must include at least:
• Three different grade 2 river trips as a member of a group
• Three different open water journeys with winds up to force 4 as a member of a group
• Three different grade 1/ 2 river trips (minimum of four hours) as an assistant leader
• Three different open water journeys with winds up to force 3 (minimum of four hours) as an assistant leader
• The above journeys should involve some overnight camps
Candidates need to be aged 16 or over at the time of assessment.
Who is the course for?
This programme is aimed at those wishing to lead journeys in a moderate environment.
The 4 Star leader award is a prerequisite for those Level 2 Coaches wishing to attain their moderate endorsement.
