Guided Sea Kayaking Evenings

These guided sea kayaking sessions will be taking place every Thursday from the end of May through to mid September.

Cost is £22.50 per evening or £80 for 4 sessions (price includes all equipment, wetsuit, booties, and even one of our famous choc brownies or flapjacks and tea/coffee).

Course pre-requisites:

Having paddled a kayak before is essential. If you are new to sea kayaking we would suggest that you try our ‘GO Seakayaking’ course as this is the perfect start for beginners and it focuses more on key skills and competencies. Go Seakayaking dates

Please note that these are not coaching evenings but more of a guided experience. If you lack water confidence give the Centre a call first as we can bring along a double sea kayak to help build confidence.

Course summary:

Our Thursday Guided Sea Kayaking Evenings are an ideal way to get a taste of what Strangford Lough has to offer paddlers. The philosophy behind the evening paddles is providing the opportunity for people to gain access to the lough and to enjoy a guided journey among the islands. We will be stopping off on an island for a picnic supper enjoying the wild life, sunsets and spending time away from it all in a soothing relaxed environment - what more could you ask for mid-week?

Providing coaching is not the focus of the evening, however our staff are more than happy to provide coaching in the form of hot tips and handy hints as we journey.

We select our weekly launch site on a Wednesday lunchtime when we have gained the most up to date forecast this will be communicated to you by email or by mobile.
