How's everyone ?

Yes would you believe it Streamstown is almost upon us. First weekend of May 3rd to the 5th on the Bank holiday weekend.

As usual Kris and Tatiana will be on hand to welcome you to Actons campsite.
https://clifdenecocamping.ie

The usual discounted rate for ISKA members applies.

Chef Peter and Dave will be on hand Saturday evening to provide the food and after dinner entertainment. There will be centrally heated tepees on hand and good hot food for everyone.

I'm even considering providing a gin bar for the hipsters amongst ye. Probably just consist of a bottle of Gordon's and a brown paper bag :D

As usual monies collected at the BBQ will go to the RNLI so dig deep.

So brush off the cobwebs from your boats and come join us for the weekend. It's a chance to
meet up with everyone and to make plans for the season.

More updates as the 4 week countdown begins.

Hey folks,

Have not been to Streamstown meet before, do we need to book a pitch at the campsite in advance ? or just land on on Friday.

Thanks

Hi Cormac,

No there's no need to book.
Just turn up.
Check in with Kris (owner campsite) and he will tell you where you can pitch.
Briefing for the various paddle trips is Saturday morning at the Tepee tents 1000hrs.

There are trips Friday evening but they are more informal and peer.

There will be a BBQ Saturday evening.
Monies collected for the food served goes to RNLI.

Any other questions please don't hesitate to post.

T-Minus 3 weeks to Streamstown.

Peter has been preparing his specialties of the house for weeks. All of the food has been ethically and locally sourced from sustainable sources. There hasn't been a single roadkill seen around Gort in months.

For the vegetarians amongst you (I'd say a lot of you are now vegetarians) there is Peters famous Thai green vegetable curry.

All lovingly prepared on site.

All you need do is bring your own plate and utensils and of course a contribution to the RNLI fund.
There will be heated tepees on hand and of course a roaring fire.....hopefully not inside the tents.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

T-Minus 1 week.

If the weather is half as good as forecast we are in for a cracking weekend of paddling and al fresco dining.

Hope to see you all there. 8-)
