The ISKA symposium for 2018 will be based in the Harbour Hotel in Schull, Co Cork on the weekend of October 5-7. This location gives good access to Roaringwater Bay and it's many islands. There are plenty of good and bad weather paddling options in the area.


The hotel has 83 beds, mostly singles but there are six doubles. These beds are arranged into twin rooms and family rooms, and a small number of two-bed and three-bed apartments. Additional apartments/houses will be rented elsewhere in Schull once the hotel accommodation is full.

The booking form is available here. Beds, rooms and apartments will be allocated as they are paid for.

The Harbour Hotel in Schull has a small number of double rooms available. They are being allocated on request and on receipt of payment. Some of them are already allocated. When they are gone, they are gone. After that it is mostly twin rooms.

Rosie, there are only twin and double rooms available in the hotel. Lots of both still available.

With special thanks to Jon Hynes of Kinsale OEC, we also hope to have a sea kayak orienteering event on the Saturday at the symposium. The islands of Roaringwater Bay provide an ideal location of such an event.

This will be a fun event for teams of three with spot prizes. If you happen to improve your map reading and navigation, that will be a bonus!
