Streamstown Meet - 13th / 14th May 2017
Posted: Wed Apr 19, 2017 6:52 pm
Hi gang,
It's that time of the year again, the first meet of the year Streamstown !
If Carlsberg did sea kayak meets this would be it.
This meet is open to all both ISKA members and guests.
If you have a preference regarding camping spots you'll need to contact Chris at http://www.actonsbeachsidecamping.com. Other then that it'll be first come first serve.
Sea kayakers of all levels will be catered for both on and off the water. Peter and Dave will of course be providing culinary delights Saturday evening. Both meat eaters (real men and women) and vegetarians will be catered for. As usual all gratuities will be gratefully accepted and all monies raised will go to the RNLI.
There will be led trips on the Saturday. Weather and numbers will decide where those trips will go to. We will endeavour to get a concensus regarding that on the day. There will be a trip for those getting back into the swing after winter hibernation and a more advanced trip for those willing to stretch out. Leaders and assistants will be coerced on the day depending on who turns up.
Be aware this meet is peer all the way. We will as always look out for each other and the designated leaders will call the shots as they see fit.
Everyone paddling on the day will be obliged to sign in and to give an ICE (in case of emergency) contact number. This applies to all both ISKA members and guests. Other then that happy paddling.
Please God the weather will corporate.
Look forward to seeing you all there.
