ISKA meet 16/17th June

Post by Julian » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:51 pm

The \"West Cork\" meet originally planned for the coming weekend was put back by a week several weeks ago as listed on the front page. There ought to have been a posting here too, but that slipped through the cracks, sorry.

I will post further details of the 16/17th June meet in the next few days.

Was hoping to go down for this meet !

However it\'s only a week away and no details of available accommodation. I would be looking to camp. Would like to bring the family as well.
Are there suitable camp sites available. Is there special ISKA rate ?

What will the trips be aimed at ICU level 3 ?

I know this will be weather dependant but would like to know the options in advance.

One weeks notice is very little time to plan !

Some information would be great !!!!!! :ermm:

Marvellous meet in Roaring Water Bay. Got to visit many islands in a challenging F5 on Sat and camped on Calf Island in wonderful sunshine. Sun morning dawned bright and sunny and F2 so the whole group of seven at that stage, headed from Calf to Fastnet and back to Baltimore via Clear Island. A big paddling day in almost 24C of sunshine and low winds with tide pushing us in both directions. Thanks to everyone present for a great weekend and especially Julian for the planning that gave us tides in both directions to the Fastnet. A first time to the Fastnet for all seven there.

Many thanks to Julian for well organised & really worthwhile paddling weekend. Several inner islands, trip to Fastnet, good food, good company - the business.
