European Paddling Conference

Post by TonyW » Thu Sep 29, 2016 6:01 pm

Hi All,

From Canoeing Ireland:

Dear instructors, club secretaries, members and colleagues,

Canoeing Ireland will be hosting an European Paddling conference in Dublin on the 14-17 October 2016 through the Euro Paddle Pass Programme. We have been pushing the conference through our website and Facebook page and are now following with up with an email campaign as the dates approach.

We have 25 international delegates coming from France, Italy, Germany, UK, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway who have now booked in to attend the conference and who are really looking forward to meeting and paddling with a delegation of Irish Instructors to discuss best practice in Irish paddlesports and share some of the practices from their own countries . The conference is free to take part in and offers a great opportunity to share ideas, meet new people, improve your skills and get a flavour of how things are done in the rest of Europe. We will be running workshops in Kayaking, Open Canoeing, Sea Kayaking and Flatwater Racing based around the Level 3 Skills award as well as an SUP assimilation course. You can find all the information on the conference and the associated workshops and timetables on our website below where you can also register to take part in the conference.

EPP conference information and registration

In order to run the workshops we need participants to volunteer to do Level 3 Skills assessments so if you know anyone who is of that standard in your club or group of contacts, who might be interested in a free day out with some great coaching from a cohort of European instructors and a free Level 3 Skills assessment please feel free to pass on the message to them and ask them to register for free at the above link.

We look forawrd to seeing plenty of you there for a great weekend of paddling, learning, discussions and international networking. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Regards
