New Year

A few bits of info. for the coming year.
Trish Carraher is the new meets officer. Each regional rep will organise one of the ISKA meets. This does not have to be in their own region. It can be in any location of their own choosing. They will need assistance and I would encourage people to offer assistance in organising and running the meet. The rep will liaise with Trish.
ISKA is run by volunteers. We need more people to volunteer to maintain the organisation in it\'s operations. There is a Committee which includes A Chair, Secretary/treasurer, Meets officer and the regional reps. The first 3 can get busy at times and the reps less so. The regional reps role is to organise 1 meeting and generally keep ISKA informed of any events or issues that may be of concern or interest to us. Also they would bring to the attention of ISKA any concerns they or their paddlers might have regarding ISKA operations.
I will be standing down as Chair at the next AGM in Oct 2013. This position will need to be filled and I would encourage people to come forward. It is not as tough as it may appear at times and you get free membership for the time you serve . This applies to all committee members.
Conor Smith the Sec/treasurer will also be standing down. I know it is a long way to October but please consider these positions. You will be given help and assistance from the previous officers so there is nothing too dramatic or challenging.
I hope you all get the 2013 you deserve and that the paddling is magnificent.
