Irish Sea Kayaking Symposium, October 2010

The Irish Sea Kayaking Symposium 2010 will be held in Donegal and has been by Deep Blue Sea Kayaking and North West Sea Kayaking on behalf of the Irish Sea Kayaking Association. Tollymore NI and Sea Kayaking UK are also assisting.

The Symposium event is being held in Ardara, Donegal on 23rd to 25th October 2010, the Bank Holiday Weekend, and is open to all. We have a FULL 3 DAY PROGRAMME of events for you. We also have an Extended Programme until Friday 29th of both ICU and BCU Sea Kayak and Surf courses for all levels as well as Guided Trips.

Just to remind you that this Friday is a cutoff (on price) on the symposium booking. We really need to know if you\'re coming so that we can properly plan the number of coaches we need. Emailed application form are fine but please do get them in.

I would like to thank Brian, Joan, Des & Sonja for all their hardwork, Organisational Skills, Patience, Endless energy and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
Also the many coaches who turned out to give us the benefit of their experience and of course to thank the people of Ardara who allowed us to turn their town into a Sea Kayaking expo not to mention occupying all the available car parking spaces.
The Weather played it’s part and we got everything from Sunshine & calm to Hail Showers and F5 winds giving paddler’s of all abilities an amazing experience on the North West Coast.
The only thing that was lacking was sleep !!
Which made Symposium 2010 a BIG SUCCESS .

Well done to the organisers. It was a great weekend in a magnificent location with lots of nice sunshine. Thanks also to all of the coaches and leaders who gave up their time to take part. It\'s great to see top level coaches from further afield coming along.

Yes, it was an absolutely fantastic weekend. I enjoying eating, sleeping, talking and living sea kayaking from Friday evening until Monday - I was wrecked! Thanks to all involved in organising and instructing and for making it such a great event.
